Are you planning on joining the military? If you are that mans you will have to take the ASVAB test which also stands for Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. It is very important that you do well on this test. If you cant pass this test then it means you cannot join the military.
What Is The ASVAB?
The ASVAB Is the exam required to be taken to join the United States Military. This test will be given to anyone who wants to join the US military. This test determines whether the mental aptitude to join the military. This test will cover four specific topics. These topics include mathematics knowledge, paragraph comprehension, word knowledge, and arithmetic reasoning. It is most likely that you could already be strong in one of those topics. If you are already familiar with any of those topics then it will be best if you spent time studying the other topics.
How To Study For ASVAB?
There are many study guides that you can use to learn about the topics. You can find these study guides either online or in a book. Before you begin to study I recommend taking an ASVAB practice test. Take the entire exam and time yourself. You will also want to be completely free from distractions while you are taking the practice test. Take a minute and recognize how long it takes you to complete each subject. After you complete the practice test, check your answers and make sure you know where you need to spend extra time studying.

Taking The ASVAB.
Knowing what to expect on the test is very important. You will be taking either a paper-based test or computer-based. If you are taking the ASVAB test on a computer you will probably see 10 different subjects. If you are taking the paper version test then you will only see 9. This test is also timed and you will have 3-4 hours to take it. You will also want to bring some things with you which include a driver’s license, social security, and a birth certificate.

- Math- mathematics knowledge and arithmetic reasoning
- Verbal-word knowledge
After you take the ASVAB test and you pass it you will have the opportunity to go through the MEPS process. The MEPS process includes medical screening and aptitude tests. After the test you will also get tests done, these tests include hearing, vision, blood pressure, and a pregnancy test if you are a woman. If you pass the physical test then will be able to proceed to hear about the basic training. Your recruiter will prepare you for all this process.
